LM-80 test is designed to by 6,000 hours (roughly equivalent to 9 months time), the industry has been using this simplified test, to test the package contains the LED array and the solid state lighting modules lumen maintenance. In addition, LED also need to be tested under three different temperatures. In addition to 55 C and 85 C preset temperature than two OSRAM also to the temperature of 105 C to simulate the demanding application requirements.
