The South Korean government to actively promote energy-efficient lighting, LED enhanced training to develop a series of industry-related policies in Korea accelerated the popularity of LED lighting intensity. Proposed LED 2012 market share of 8.3% from 2008 to 15%.
South Korea will expand the city as the centers use of LED lighting. As of April 2010, Seoul, South Koreas public sector overall lighting of about 930,000, of which 17% have been replaced with LED lighting, and plans to Seoul by 2020
